Novotel hotel , Siam square Bangkok

Do not stay at Novotel Siam Bangkok. I reached there on 6th morning and they refused to give me a room before 2. They said an upgraded room will cost about 8thousand bhat and I will have to pay full in advance. I agreed. Next day upon my travel agents insistence a regular room suddenly appeared and I was moved there. Now the horror film starts. On 7th afternoon I was passing by Paragon center which was 5 mins away by walk. I liked a t shirt but I thought I would go back and get the money. My 10$, 20k bhatt, my passports (3) and other travel documents were in a single wallet in my room. I took out the change from it and in a rush kept the wallet on the bed and rushed down. I was back within 10mins only to c a lady dressed up in the hotel uniform leaving my room. I went in and to my horror my everything was gone. I rushed out to find the lady but in vain. Called the hotel reception and guys came over to check my room. Nothing was found. I asked them to c the cctv footage which they said was not installed in the hotel for " private" reasons. I asked them that there there has to be a record which said the lady had entered my room and as she was leaving, I came within a limit. I was given assurance my the duty manager MrFrank that things will be thoroughly investigated. Everyday I went to the front desk and asked but no reply. I was supposed to come back on 12th eve and on 12th morning I went to meet frank and asked him where is the investigation report for which he said he wasnt sure if it was made or not. Next I asked him why didnt the GM of the hotel not bother to call me because such a big robbery has taken place. Can u imagine 10k$, 20k bhatt and my multiple passports so frank said he is not sure if the GM is even aware or not. Can u imaging such a ridiculous answer. He was that GM was off as it was sat but he would make sure that by the Monday 14th I will get a reply. Today is Wednesday and no e mail , no courtesy call and nothing has been done. This is what kind of service Novotel provides. I request all readers not to stay at Novotel Siam square as they r not only cheats but also lack empathy. Guys please be aware.
